Shotley Vineyard overlooks both the Orwell and Stour estuaries, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The current owners took over the vineyard in 2017 after falling in love with the beautiful setting and views and they now manage 16 acres of planted English vines in neighbouring vineyards and have since established Shotley Vineyard, launching their first vintage in June 2020.
This single estate Bacchus is the third vintage to come from the vineyard. The wine is floral with notes of elderflower on the nose. It’s crisp on the palate with hints of gooseberry and lime. This wine pairs beautifully with chicken or seafood.
