Shotley Vineyard overlooks both the Orwell and Stour estuaries, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The current owners took over the vineyard in 2017 after falling in love with the beautiful setting and views and they now manage 16 acres of planted English vines in neighbouring vineyards and have since established Shotley Vineyard, launching their first vintage in June 2020.
This 2021 Sparkling Wine from Shotley Vineyard is made from Auxerrois, Chardonnay, Seyval Blanc and Reichensteiner grapes.
These grape varieties bring together the oldest and newest planting in the vineyard, ranging from vines planted in the mid 90’s through to the Chardonnay planted in 2010. Combining French and Germanic grape varieties to deliver a unique blend which delivers a fruit forward style with notes of green apple and stone fruit with a dry and refreshing finish.
